Daily receipts: when should I enter payments made via Payconiq or bank transfer?

Question

Hello,

Do I record a sale in my daily receipts on the day the sale takes place, or on the day the money is credited to my account? I am thinking in particular of a situation where I sold on Sunday 31 December 2023, and the money did not appear in my account until Monday 1 January 2024; but this also happens on a weekday Sunday. With payments via Payconiq, it always takes at least one day for the money to appear.

I have found conflicting information on the forum. Who knows the correct answer? Thank you!

You have to interpret daily receipts literally; it is simply the day on which the sale takes place!
