Question

Hello, I purchased my logo and corporate identity via a foreign online platform (Looka.com, which has good reviews, so I think it’s reliable). However, the invoice I received only contains the email address and telephone number of this company and a total amount (no specification of vAT). I was unable to provide a vAT number when creating my account. Is it wise to include this invoice in my accounts? Or will this do too much to raise questions in the event of an audit? In that case, I would prefer not to include this invoice. Thank you for your advice. Kind regards, Murielle

It's not a problem that they didn't put your vAT number on their invoice. That's because companies outside Europe (I'm assuming it was a company outside the EU) don't work with vAT at all. So they are not familiar with the concept of vAT and vAT numbers.

So don't worry that they don't charge vAT, because they are not familiar with the concept of vAT. You can safely enter that invoice in your accounts.

Great, thank you for this information and your quick advice.

Kind regards,

Murielle
