Dear Entrepreneurs,
Due to the heat, it has become impossible to work without air conditioning. That is why my question is whether a mobile air conditioner is deductible. If so, is it 100% deductible? I work from home.
Kind regards,
Yoni De Bleeker

Dear Yoni,
If you can demonstrate that you only incur this expense for professional reasons, then it is deductible. However, it is difficult to argue that you do not also benefit from it privately. I would therefore use a percentage based on the amount of hours you work from home.

I close with Tarik, but perhaps I would add the next:
If you have three air conditioners installed (just for example) and you put one of the three on your business invoice because it cools 100% of your professional space, then 100% would still be justifiable for that one unit. But if they are actually going to cool a 'mixed' area, i.e. part of the professional space and part of the private space, then you will have to play around with the professional use percentage.
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
