social security contributions for self-employed students

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I became self-employed a few weeks ago and would now like to start invoicing the hours I worked as a student in addition to my main activities. Suppose I have earned 4,500 euros as a working student from January until now. Will this amount be added to the social security contribution exemption as a self-employed student?

Thank you in advance!

That €4,500 was earned as an employee (I think?). A student worker is more or less the same as an employee, but with some extra benefits, which is why I say 'as an employee'.

For that social security contributions exemption, I think you really need to look at your profit as a self-employed person, i.e. what you have invoiced minus all your costs.

So I would say no, only your self-employed activity. But feel free to let me know if you have any other information from somewhere else :-)
