Quarter return

Question

I have started a trial period. I have now completed the Q1 vAT declaration with my accountant because I wanted to see if we arrived at the same amount and I still had a few questions. I have closed the quarter in Dexxter but obviously cannot start the vAT declaration as this has already been done by the accountant. Is it sufficient to close the quarter so that I can start Q2?

This is how I do it: Print the journals (incoming/outgoing) from the relevant quarter. Double-check that everything has been entered correctly. Then vAT declaration > close quarter. You can then go through the entire procedure in Dexxter. The only thing you don't do is upload your return to Intervat, because your accountant has already done this for you. However, you can download the return in XLM and pDF format from the Intervat website. You upload the XLM file to Dexxter for verification, and I save the pDF in a vAT folder on my computer.
