Costs when closing a business

Question

I stopped my business on 1 July 2024. For this, I paid an amount of around €180 to Xerius (vAT closure, CBE closure). Now I have received these invoices by email and they say that they are for my accounts. Do I still need to submit these as expenses? Yes, under which cost category do they fall? If not, for what other reason do I need to keep these documents good?

Thank you!

Definitely submit them! You are stopped in 2024, so you still have to declare your self-employed activity in your 2024 income tax return, to be submitted in 2025.

If you still have profits for 2024, these are useful expenses!

Hello,

If you stopped trading on 1 July 2024 and you still have various professional expenses (such as administration costs from the social secretariat), you can still include these in your return in BOX XXI 'Profit and income from previous professional activities' under code 1697-49.
