prototype costs

Question

I have incurred costs for a prototype of a product (but the prototype itself will not be sold), and now I question under which cost category I should place this.

I'm following this, because I have the same question. I had a few sets of cards printed as prototypes for testing; these will not be sold to customers. I suspect that this falls under 'General expenses' and is fully deductible. Could it also fall under Small purchases, depending on the amount?

Hello,

You can always create an additional cost category and set it to 100% deductible :)
