professional percentage for light goods vehicles

Question

In Dexxter, 75% professional use % is suggested as standard for all costs relating to light goods vehicles. Does this mean that even if you only use your light goods vehicle for professional purposes, it is still best to use 75%? Does the answer change if you are only self-employed in secondary occupation (I do garden maintenance as a secondary occupation and have purchased a van for this purpose)?

Dear Sir/Madam, I assume that you could claim 100% of this. (if it is really only used for your secondary occupation)
However, I would recommend doing a mileage log, either manually or using a GPS-controlled monitoring system. If the tax authorities come to check, you can prove that the journeys with the light goods vehicle were really only for professional purposes.

Kind regards!

Thank you
