Include a parasol?

Question

Does a parasol fall under ‘office space’? In other words, I mainly work from home (so I count part of my utility costs and office supplies as expenses), but in the summer I also like to work on my terrace. Can I also include part of the cost of the parasol?

This seems to me to be a good example of 'creative accounting' ;)

But in itself, there may be something to be said for it. You could try to claim a small portion of the parasol as a professional expense. But keep in mind that in the event of an audit, the tax authorities may not agree with your story and you may have to remove it from your accounts.
