DePRECIATION possible for training courses already booked

Question

Hello, in the spring of 2022, before I was subject to VAT, I made some training purchases. I processed these as cost in accounts at the end of 2022.

Can I still book these as an investment? If so, is that a historical investment and, yes, under which category does training fall? Dexxter gives a few options, but training is not among them.

I have invoices from everything. When I want to enter it as a regular investment, the system does not process it.

Thank you for your response! Sara

I would never record training as an investment; I don't think that's allowed. I think it's always an expense.

If you spread that training course as an investment and write it off, what are you writing off, because there is actually nothing? I agree that you will carry the knowledge from that training course with you for a long time (or at least I hope so for you ;) ), but that seems insufficient to me to speak of a depreciation.

I think investments should be about something that is still effective after the purchases: a car, a computer, a website, etc.

Other ideas are always welcome!
