expenses versus income

Question

Hello everyone,

I am a self-employed student, having started on 1 October 2023.

Due to my relatively high study costs (and a few smaller expenses) and limited income, my expenses are higher than my income, meaning my gross profit for 2023 is slightly negative. Is that a problem for the tax authorities? Will they make things difficult?

Kind regards,

Tere

Hi,

Have you entered your entire course as training costs? Because i don't know if that's allowed. I think training costs only include vocational training. To be on the safe side, I would contact Dexxter's support team. Unless someone else from the community here knows the answer?

Good luck!

Regards,

Adrie

I am a qualified architect and the course is a postgraduate programme on alternative building techniques and materials. So it is definitely linked to the professionalisation of my profession.
