I am exempted from VAT myself; I only have a company number (no vAT number).
I am trying to submit my customer list online via interVAT, but apparently this is not possible without a vAT number…
Am I not required to submit a customer list after all? Or am I?

Have you reported this problem to support? We are going to go through all the chats again to answer any last-minute questions about the customer list. So be sure to do that ;-).
It's not that I don't want to submit them, it's just that I can't because I don't have a vAT number, only a company number.
I can enter everything nicely via interVAT, until I get to the last step, 'sign'. Then I get an error...
Your company number is also your vAT number, but with BE in front of it!
Can you be self-employed without a vAT number?
If your small business has a maximum annual turnover of €25,000 excl. VAT, you are eligible for a VAT exemption. This rule applies to all types of businesses, but in practice it most often applies to self-employed people with a secondary occupation. In my case, it concerns a minimal income as an artist. A company number is sufficient (confirmed by the FPS).
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
