Entering sponsorship from associations

Question

Hello everyone

My situation is as follows:

As a self-employed student, I want to make myself better known in the field of event photography.
So for the upcoming party from our local youth club, I’m taking photos and sponsoring €50.

With proof of the donation, I could also enter this amount as an expense in my accounts.
But I have no idea under what heading or how I should enter this. Does anyone know?

Kind regards

Hmmm, I think you'll have to frame it as something from publicity.

Do they do any advertising for you for that £50? A mention of your company somewhere? That's enough :)

Then they have to draw up a document stating that they have received £50 from you in exchange for some advertising, a mention of your name, ... or whatever. That document can then be entered in your accounts as advertising/publicity!

Yes, that's right, that's how we do it with our sports club.

We simply issue documents to everyone who sponsors us, stating that entrepreneur Y has paid x amount of euros in sponsorship in exchange for: a mention of their name, advertising, an advertising box on the mats, etc. (and of course we actually do that too!)
