Question

Dear Sir/Madam, How many pence per kilometre can I deduct from my taxes if I cycle to the place where most of my personal training sessions take place?

And what if the customer trains at a different location and I have to travel there by car or bicycle?

And how much for car fuel costs, considering that I do not know exactly what percentage I use for private purposes and that I share this car with other members of my household?

You could charge EUR 0.35 per km as a professional expense if you cycle to your workplace.

If you go by car, it is EUR 0.15 per km as a flat rate OR you can prove your actual costs from your professional use of the car. It is best to keep a logbook of your journeys so that you can calculate a professional use %.

Thank you, Dexter. What if it's a customer on other locations??
