¨Personal income tax – negative amount in 1600 after social security regularisation

Question

Hello,

When I have Dexxter calculate my personal income tax, it asks me to fill in a negative amount in item 1600/2600. In 2023, I received a refund from social security, which I entered as a credit note and as a regularisation. The amount in item 1600/2600 is exactly the amount of that refund.

However, I cannot enter a negative amount in that item in Taxonweb. What should I do?

I have already found a question back on the community, but I don’t think it applies (see: Declaration code 1600 – negative amount).

Thanks in advance,

Hans

Dear Hans, just to be sure. Was there any income already entered in 2023? Because box 1600 is for professional income. Do not enter a negative amount for the CN input either. Indicate CN and then a positive amount.

Regards

Ann

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your answer. I just checked again and the CNs have been entered as a positive amount, under the cost item social security - regularisation (I followed the Dexxter instructional video on this subject).

What exactly do you mean by "has there been income and has it already been entered in 2023? How can I see that? Check whether I have entered income for the 2023 financial year in 2022 or 2024?

Thank you,

Hans
