Are you doing something wrong if you don’t enter some purchase invoices?

Question

On some platforms, I use my business account for private purchases. Am I doing something wrong here? Now that these invoices are automatically entered into the accounts via Peppol, can I just “delete” them? Or do I have to enter them at 0% business use?

Using business accounts for private purchases is not tax compliant. Do not delete these Peppol invoices, as this will make your accounting incomplete. Enter them as private purchases or 0% business use in order to correct VAT and costs correctly.

Important details:

  • No deletion: Never delete invoices that have entered the administration via Peppol, as this causes gaps in the administration.

  • Correct entry: Private purchases for the business must be entered as a private entry. This means that the vAT is not deductible and the costs are not deducted from the profit.

OK, clear, thanks for this answer.
