Credit note as an investment?

Question

Hello,

I took a course for which I applied to the SME portfolio. I recorded the amounts paid by the government as a credit note. As it is an expensive course, I recorded it as an investment. So I thought I would also record the credit note as an investment, but this is not possible in Dexxter. Probably because it is not allowed? It does mean that I will have a negative expenses balance if I record it as a normal expense in the 2022 financial year.

How should I deal with it here?

Anouck

I would record the expenses as a cost (not as an investment) and the SME compensation as a credit note.

So I don't think it's correct to write off a course.
