Question

Hello,

In March 2021 (first year) and August 2022 (second year), I took a training course to work as a dog groomer as a secondary occupation, starting in October 2023.

During 2021, 2022 and the spring of 2023, I also purchased grooming equipment for a total of €600.

Can I claim the costs from my training in 2021 and 2022, as well as the costs for the grooming equipment, as expenses, even though I only started in October 2023?

Thank you in advance!

I think there is something in the learning center if you search for 'start-up'. About costs before you start :)
