Invoicing for free services?

Question

I recently provided free services with my company for friends of mine. In other words, I gave them a 100% discount, resulting in a bill amounting to £0. Do I have to invoice this? How should I record this so that the tax authorities know that I actually provided the services for free? Or am I overlooking something?

Ultimately, you are working for free, so you don't necessarily have to report anything here. You can simply keep a cooperation agreement...
