Question

Hello everyone,

I would like to know whether I can/may use an address other than my private domicile address for my sole proprietor (i.e. where my vAT number is enabled)?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, a sole proprietor may have an address other than his or her home address, as long as it is a physical address that meets the requirements of the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) or the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO). For example, he or she can use a business address, the address of a service provider, or even the address of a branch office. You can have a change of address carried out by your business desk in the CBE database.

Important points

  • Physical address:

The address must be a real, physical address where your business is enabled, such as a place of business or place of operation.

  • Reference address:

You may not register a company at a so-called 'reference address' in order to avoid legal problems. You may not reside or have possessions at a reference address.
