Question

I was wondering whether, in addition to keeping my accounts in Dexxter, I need to keep separate records for a possible tax audit?Suppose I were to have a tax audit, would it be sufficient to log in to Dexxter and let the auditor do their audit in Dexxter, or would it be best to keep a separate folder with all invoices for both my income & expenses?

For a tax audit, you simply need to be able to prove what you have entered in your accounts. To do this, you will need: invoices, bank accounts (which they can also check), and a statement of income and expenses. For example, in the case of furniture, you must be able to demonstrate that it is actually used for professional purposes. You also need proof of inventory if you have any. Sometimes the tax authorities may also question emails.
