Hello, I have a shop and regularly use the products from my purchases as testers (e.g. perfumes, hand soap, etc.). I was wondering how to enter this in my accounts. These testers were already entered as an expense at the time of purchase, but are no longer saleable. Thank you in advance.
I give them a new purpose. I remove the value of the testers from my trade goods by manually entering a negative amount in reports, income and expenses. I then enter that amount as a positive amount under 'marketing and publicity'.
