Refund of social security contributions

Question

Dear Sir/Madam, I have read all the previous questions here on this subject, but I still do not have an answer. If I enter a credit note (as every answer indicates), I also have to enter an invoice number, even though no invoice was ever created for this, of course. In the learning center, I can only find a video on how to enter social security contribution costs.

You cannot enter a credit note if there has never been an invoice associated with it. You cannot reclaim money if it has not been paid. Are you referring specifically to social security contributions?

When I enter the invoice nr. of my last invoice or any of my previous invoices, I get an error message...

I just viewed it and I don't need to enter an invoice number. I can simply enter the credit note. You do need to enter it under expenses, not income.
