Purchases via Amazon

Question

I have a question about purchases through Amazon: which supplier should I enter in my accounts? Amazon would be the easiest option, but Amazon is actually an ‘intermediary’, so i don’t know how best to handle this. What does the tax office say in this case?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think it's a bit like bol.com?

If you receive an invoice from the actual supplier, you have to enter that. But if you only receive documents from Amazon, you have to enter Amazon as the supplier and post that document.

That's how I do it with bol.com.

I have no idea how it works with bol.com :). I assume the principle must be the same. I see on Amazon's invoice that the sale is made by company XYZ, but I also see that vAT is paid by Amazon itself with a Luxembourg vAT number. I assume that in this case I can designate Amazon as the supplier, is that correct?
