Provisional social security contributions

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have already received a request to pay my first provisional social security contributions. However, this is a document with a payment request but not an actual invoice. Is this sufficient for accounting purposes? It does state a reference number, amount excluding vAT and date, but it does not literally say ‘invoice’, probably because it is a ‘provisional contribution’?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

It is not an invoice, but it must be treated as such and entered in your accounts. It is important to select the correct cost category. Social security contributions for advance payments, social security contributions adjustment for settlements + or -.
