Process previous quarter’s refund in current return?

Question

Hello, I have a very specific question.

In Q1, I was due a small amount from the taxes, around €20. However, this quarter I owe the tax services an amount (around €200).

Can I offset the refund from the previous quarter against the current quarter, and if yes, how? I don’t think Dexxter takes this into account here (if this is possible, a point for the Dexxter team to work on ;)).

Kind regards

Hello,

Giel from the Dexxter team here.

I'm picking up on this question because it's a technical one. It's true that we don't take transferable balances into account at the moment. It's high on our list of priorities!

To help you further, what you say is indeed correct. You can simply offset the €20 from previous quarter against your current balance of €200. You don't need to do anything special, other than making your payment. You simply need to pay the balance from: balance for quarter 2 - balance for quarter 1.

Just that payment. For the other, submit your vAT declaration as usual.

Giel

Hi,

I have the same problem. In Q4 of 2024, I was due to receive a refund of around €700 from the tax authorities (which I did not claim) and now I owe them around €200. Can I just skip this payment?

Thanks.
