Depreciation

Question

I started my business in the second quarter of this year and purchased a tablet that is used 100% for business purposes. Can I start depreciating this tablet from the first quarter? So before I started my business. Dexxter allows this, but I would like to check.

My second question is: from what amount is depreciation required? I need to buy a lot of hand tools for my business, such as screwdrivers. Do these need to be depreciated or not? If so, over what term?

Yes, I think there is a state from this in the learning center.

As a sole proprietor, you can choose when to start depreciation, as long as it is in the year of purchase.

Required is a bit vague; if I acknowledge correctly, the tax authorities do not want to define this themselves. Their explanation is that it should be a significant amount. I would say that you should consider it from 500 euros upwards :)
