Question

Under which cost category do the purchases of a monitor fall?

Hello,

I believe this would fall under 'Software & Computing Costs' (description: "Everything you use professionally in terms of software, hardware or related items.")

At what price does this become an investment? I have an accountant friend who told me that anything under 500 euros could be immediately entered as an expense. So under "software & computing costs". But when I enter the amount in Dexxter, I get a notification saying that anything above €250 is considered an investment. I would prefer to enter my monitor (€460) as an expense.

Dear SVB and JR,

Dexxter does indeed recommend that you enter expenses above €250.00, which you will use for several years, as an investment.

This is only a guideline. There is no legally stated requirement specifying when a purchase should be depreciated. However, by following our advice, you can be sure that you will not encounter any surprises in the event of an audit.

Kind regards,
