Freelancer as a student

Question

I am currently doing a student job for a week and a half. The company has asked if they can invoice me as a freelancer with my sole proprietor. This would allow me to earn more because they would not have to pay my wages. Do you recommend this, or is it better to just work as a student?

I think you'll hear a lot of people recommending it here, since we're all entrepreneurs. :)

As an employee, you are of course better protected. Think of sick leave, holiday entitlement, a permanent contract, fringe benefits such as meal vouchers, insurance, etc. But as an entrepreneur, you are much more autonomous, of course. You also keep more of your salary and you can deduct your expenses from your gross salary. Now, there are probably already professional expenses that you have to pay with your net salary, which makes freelancing more interesting. As you can see, there are advantages and disadvantages to both statuses. I think it depends on what suits you best and whether you've been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug or not.
