Exemption – closing the quarter

TM

Question

I have the exemption rule, and I had to submit my accounts to my accountant once a year.

Now I see that I can close a quarter or the whole year.

Do I have to close this quarterly? Or do I just have to click on ‘close financial year’ at the end of the year?

Hello,

Although you do not have to submit quarterly vAT declarations, you do have to submit an iC declaration quarterly. If you have a lot of sales that are subject to an iC declaration, you can still close your quarters so that you have to take extra action and do not forget to submit a new iC declaration.

However, if this does not apply to you, there is no reason to close the periods separately and you can simply close your financial year as usual.

Kind regards,
