As an animal breeder, how do you enter animals in Dexxter?

When you set up your sole proprietorship, you purchase four animals, say at £300 each.

Do you consider this to be trade goods or an investment?

And what if these animals have offspring?

Hi,

That will depend on whether or not the animals are intended for sale. If you buy them to sell, they are trade goods. If you buy them for breeding, I would consider them investments. The offspring you would sell have no purchase price and are therefore not an expense. So you only record them as income once they have been sold.
