I have created my second invoice for this financial year and sent it to the customer. However, I now see that the invoice number is # 2023-1 and it should be # 2023-2. The first invoice was a manual invoice.
The invoice has been created and already sent to the customer (the customer is aware of this and is expecting a corrected invoice).
How can I change the number of a created invoice?
This is what I would do:
Delete the created invoice in Dexxter
Reset the starting number for your invoices in your settings (back to 2023-1)</
Upload your first invoice (the manual one) to Dexxter so that Dexxter can include all your income. This will make your other administration (VAT and tax returns, customer list, etc.) much easier in the term.Personally, I create most of my invoices manually outside of Dexxter, because many of my customers have specific requirements in terms of layout/listings and some even have their own templates, but I always upload them to Dexxter. This way, I don't have to keep updating the start number from my invoices when I create one in Dexxter. Thank you, ST! Clear, I know what to do.
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
