Cost category: mortgage interest

Question

I would like to enter a percentage of the interest on my mortgage as an expense, but I am not sure which cost category this falls under. Can anyone clarify this for me?

I thought it would be under “property maintenance, partially related to your profession”, but I am not sure here…

I am also curious about the answer. From the standard cost categories, this seems to be the best, but I don't think it really fits, so perhaps you could create a new one yourself, simply called "Mortgage interest". Does anyone other have any ideas?

What I'm still wondering (but I don't want to hijack your question) is what you provide as supporting documentation. A copy of a bank statement if it states sufficient details?

I use a copy from my repayment table for this, which clearly states the interest per month.
