Clothing: is it sufficient for professional purposes, or can I also include this partially?

Question

Hi,

I am a self-employed person in secondary occupation, and my activities include breeding dogs, grooming, and providing services at dog shows (showing other people’s dogs).

I need a costume for showing my own dogs (as part of PR to showcase the parent animals) and showing other people’s dogs (for which I also invoice). It is not possible to add a logo, as the rules do not allow this.

I understand that the tax authorities argue that ‘this can also be worn privately’, hence the question ‘can I also claim this 50/50?’ or is it not specifically enough in any case?

As for T-shirts with the kennel logo (training, etc.), I acknowledged that these are specifically enough to be included.

Thanks in advance!

Kevin

Have the logo applied to the inside of the costume? That way, it will still state on the invoice and be hidden during shows.

That is certainly an option if the tax authorities agree. Then I could just have it placed on the inside of the back.

Could we have two invoices? One for the costume and a second for placing the logo?
