Peppol for foreign companies

Question

As a Dutch company, are you required to create a Peppol invoice (i.e., work with Peppol) to invoice a Belgian customer? The Netherlands requires its entrepreneurs to comply with this system by 2030.

If I understand correctly, this is only required for Belgian companies.

Can Belgian companies still submit digital (pDF) invoices? If not, then Dutch companies will also be required to switch to Peppol... There is little to no information available on this.

Thank you for your answer. It confirms what I have already found.
