Question

Hello everyone!

I recently bought a Makita machine worth 360 euros including vAT. Now I’m wondering whether I should write this off as an investment over 2 to 3 years, or whether I can just include it in my expenses in one go?

Thanks in advance, everyone!

Kind regards,

Lowie Piro

Hey Lowie! :)

No, I would just put it in your expenses. I don't think there is an official minimum amount for investments, but I would only start thinking about it from £500 upwards.

Imagine I buy an office chair from 500 euros and it lasts 10 years, which is quite possible. Then I have to write it off over 10 years, which is 50 euros in costs each year.Indeed, it is sometimes a bit vague, but thank you for the answers!
