Including rent in a secondary occupation

Question

What can you claim for your secondary occupation?

Can you claim part of your home rent (I also work from home for my secondary occupation)?

If you search for 'list' in the learning center, you will find an interesting list of deductible professional expenses.

As for your question about rent: yes, you can, but be careful!

Your tenancy agreement will often state that professional use is not permitted. No professional use actually means that you cannot claim any part of your rent in your accounts. There is no harm in actually carrying out your secondary occupation there. It is purely about claiming the rent as an expense in your accounts.

If your rental contract does not state a clause prohibiting professional use, then it is of course possible. In that case, you can enter part of the rent you pay as a professional expense (based on professional use).

But how do you enter this rental cost in Dexxter? Do you create an invoice for yourself or something?
