Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

Today I had to go to a job two hours’ drive from my home. As it was around noon, I popped into a supermarket on the way to buy something to eat. Can I include this in my accounts? If yes, what expense item should I use?

Thank you in advance.

If this is simply your 'food and drink' for the journey, then unfortunately it cannot be included in the accounts from your sole proprietor. In a company, this may be different, but in a sole proprietor, unfortunately, it is not allowed.

Thank you for your answer. Does this also apply if these costs are invoiced? I incur these costs, but there are also revenues to offset them, as I pass them on in consultation with the customer. Is this still not allowed in the accounts?
