Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had a subscription to Adobe, but I upgraded this subscription in the middle of the month.

I have now received a new invoice, as well as a “credit note” from my previous subscription.

What is the best way to enter this?

You can enter this under purchase invoices and tick the box indicating that it is a credit note. The date you choose for this is the document date of the credit note, even if the original invoice was entered in a previous quarter or financial year, for example.
