Hourly wage as a freelancer and mileage allowance

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to invoice my hourly wage and mileage allowance as a freelancer separately per day, but also show both separately in a final total, for the general final total. (hourly rate and mileage allowance together)

So:

  • a total of all days’ hourly rates

  • a total of all days’ mileage allowances per invoice.

  • and a total hourly rate and mileage allowance

How do I do that?

The easiest way is to create your invoices outside Dexxter using a word processor (such as MS Word or Libre Office Writer) or a spreadsheet (such as MS Excel or Libre Office Calc).</

You then need to enter two items for each day (hourly wage and mileage allowance) and calculate a subtotal for each (both for the amount excluding VAT, the vAT amount and the amount incl. VAT).

Then add two lines in which you create final totals for all hourly wages and for all mileage allowances (both for the amount excl. VAT, the vAT amount and the amount incl. VAT).

And below that, add a third line with the general final total (= sum of final totals for hourly wages and mileage allowance); (both for the amount excl. VAT, the vAT amount and the amount incl. VAT).Then upload a PDF version of that invoice to Dexxter, entering the same items (for hourly wages = the number of hours for all days, for mileage allowance = the number of mileage allowance for all days) but without the subtotals per day and without the totals for all hourly wages and mileage allowances. You can add a list of the number of hours per day and the number of kilometres per day in the notes field so that you can quickly find it again later in Dexxter).
