Kok&Co is gearing up for a busy end-of-year season

Kok&Co

Don’t feel like cooking during the holidays? For the fifth year in a row, the team at Kok&Co wants to bring flavor to the holidays for as many people as possible.

Chef Omar draws on his experience at restaurants including Spermalie, Oak Gent, De Warande, and La Paix to once again surprise guests with both classic and special dishes. There’s something delicious for everyone’s taste: young and old, the food-loving vegetarian, and the health-conscious meat or fish lover.

The rest of the year, Omar works as a self-employed chef and caterer. He creates trendy recipes for all kinds of events: from weddings to receptions.
In early December, he catered the graduation ceremony for 2,000 students at Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Half-time chef, half-time bartender
The rest of the time, Omar works behind the bar at Bar Moemoe on the Grote Markt in Mechelen. It’s a new traditional pub where you can enjoy a perfectly poured Stella and a small—or not-so-small—snack. Definitely worth a visit!
