vAT declaration cancelled

EVH
06/01/2025
Question

I had to cancel my vAT declaration because I had made a mistake: I had charged vAT to a co-contractor after all. I have now corrected this mistake. However, I cancelled my vAT declaration but had already paid it. Will the government pay back my overpaid paid back vAT or do I have to do something myself? Do I now have to resubmit my vAT declaration? Thank you in advance!

Dear

Thank you for your answer. I followed these steps exactly, but now I'm getting an error message in Intervat. Could you give me an explanation of what I'm doing wrong here?

The message says: "You have already submitted a return for the period 2024, quarter 4. To submit your return, please create a corrected version."

If you have made a mistake in your already submitted vAT declaration, you will need to submit a corrected vAT declaration.

You will not be able to submit such a corrected vAT declaration in one go from Dexxter, but I will certainly help you get started!

From Dexxter, you will download your XML after you have made the corrections you want to make. Then go to Intervat, to the place where you normally submit your vAT declaration.

However, you must tick the box 'Reload in the screens', just below where you would normally upload the XML file in Intervat. Once you have done this, you can submit a manual return, but the details will already have been filled in based on the XML.You must also fill in the "Ref. from the corrected document". To do this, you need to look at your original vAT declaration in Intervat and find the number that starts with "1-xxxxx...". You must fill in that number there. This indicates that it is the vAT declaration that you now want to correct with the new vAT declaration. Then simply follow the steps; the rest will already be filled in correctly based on the XML from Dexxter.

Thank you! It was success!

Thank you for your quick responses. It took a while, but without your help, this would not have been success!

Kind regards

Hi

I'm having the same problem
I forgot to upload one invoice, so it's not included in Q1, but I've already submitted the return
Can I open the quarter back and follow the steps above to make sure it's correct?

Kind regards
