Treadmill under standing desk

Question

Hello everyone,

I work as a coach/trauma therapist and I work from my practice room on the top floor of our house. I recently purchased a standing desk and would like to place a treadmill (slow treadmill) underneath it to use while doing all my administrative work. I would only use it while working, so that I am not sitting all the time and hardly moving. Can I claim this treadmill as an expense or will the tax authorities not accept this? And if so, at what percentage?

I think so, you see large companies having something like this under their desks, or a pedal exerciser.

I would say 100% if it really is a desk model, I think that's justifiable :)

Yes, that's what I was thinking. But I already have the desk, so it will be a separate treadmill... so it's portable... maybe they'll trip over that, the tax authorities (figuratively, not literally. :-D )
