Dear all,
Are there any people here who have taken courses etc. through their SME portfolio?
How did you include this in your expenses?
Did you simply enter the invoice in full? Or other?
Kind regards

As a subject to VAT, I received the following answer from Dexxter a while back:
"
As you can find on zelfstandige.vlaanderen, you must enter compensation from the SME portfolio as miscellaneous income.
You should do the next:
100 euro course fee (as an example, 100 euro total training cost)
30 euro miscellaneous income (30% SME portfolio compensation)
We do not yet have the "miscellaneous income" option in Dexxter, as it is a little more exotic for average accounting. It is usually used to do corrections, eliminate small differences, etc., or to enter the SME portfolio :)
However, you can also enter the SME portfolio in other way, namely by first entering the invoice for the course to 100%, so that you can also recover the vAT on the full amount, the full 100% of the training.
Then, based on a document, enter the SME portfolio again as expenses, but as a credit note that you also do not want to include on the vAT declaration. This is for the 30% compensation and not on the vAT declaration because there is no vAT impact on it, of course.
You can then enter that credit note (for the compensation of the SME portfolio) as a course, just like the original purchase invoice.Strange that no subject has been created here yet, but I have now entered it as above.
Thanks for this information ☺
You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
