If a subsidy is untaxed, it does not have to be included in your accounts, but if it is taxable, it does. This depends on the subsidy.

I wonder whether that other income is professional income. A donation or gift can just as easily be personal. Tips are different, though; I know that they are professional income with 0% vAT.
