mollie without your own website

Question

I am trying to enable the Mollie integration, but after creating my Mollie account, it turns out that they absolutely need a website where they can ‘verify your details’. Given that Dexxter’s target audience is sole traders, who may not need their own website or simply don’t want to do the effort, this seems a bit of a deal breaker to me.In the meantime, I am working on creating a ‘parking site’ page for my own domain (which, fortunately, I have had for a long time) where I can put the necessary ‘information’ so that mollie is satisfied, but it is a lot of hassle for something where they would be better off just validating your VAT number, right?Or does anyone else have a better/other solution? Can’t mollie do a vAT query, like Dexxter (very cool) does when you create a customer and fill in a vAT number? Anyway, I thought it would be a real added value, but it would be better to indicate in Dexxter that you really need to have a website first, otherwise it’s apparently impossible.

I have the same problem. It's a lot of hassle to be told that they refuse you because you don't have a website. Strange way to view whether someone is 'reliable'...

I contacted Mollie and told them it was for the integration of an invoice, so they approved Dexxter.be as a website.

Strange, they kept refusing me. I told them the same thing, but their argument remained the same: no website, not reliable. When I asked additional questions about why, I was given a list of options to select from. Apart from not having my own website, none of them applied to me. A very unprofessional way of doing business.

One week later, it still states 'we are working on it'. I did add my name, VAT number and email address on the parking site page, but i don't know how to get the system to run the check again. I will try to contact them by phone number. Thanks anyway for the suggestion to use dexxter.be, as well as the mention that it is for invoice integration. Which is indeed the whole point.

Good luck! After a month of emailing back and forth, I haven't been able to get it to work. Let me know if you succeed, and I might give them a second chance ;-). I had to contact them to get it approved manually.

Other option is to purchase a domain name (around €6 per year) and simply display all the information on it without paying for extensive hosting of a full site.

No, I already do that, with a 'parking site' = 1 page (other: £6/year is very cheap and that doesn't include hosting, it's just the domain name, unless you're with a registrar that offers parking pages at no extra cost).

And even then, Mollie still states 'we're working on it'. Oh well, I'll get in touch and see how far I get.

My provider does indeed offer 10MB of space with the domain without extra hosting, which is ideal for a few letters and numbers.

Let me know if success comes, I'm rooting for you!

It remains very strange that Mollie requires you to have your own website in order to be considered a reliable entrepreneur. If you're at all up to date, you know that's not the case. The internet is full of unreliable companies. There are better ways to check whether someone is registered with the Crossroads Bank, etc. As an entrepreneur, I find it offensive that they make their own rules.
