Are there still people who do their accounting via Dexxter and only have a vAT number for vacation rentals?

Yes :) Exciting, isn't it, but practical. I do make a 'profit' compared to my regular rental from before.
I still have to get started and I'm a bit scared to do my own bookkeeping and to do something wrong or forget something. They also note that you can charge a certain percentage of distribution costs for Wi-Fi, electricity and mobile phone subscriptions from home. But how do you do that in practice?
These subscriptions are in my husband's name and the vAT number is in my name, so do I have to change these subscriptions?
Do these invoices from home also have to include a vAT number?
And do you then enter them as daily receipts or sales invoices? Because it's always private individuals who rent from us.

I found it really useful! And it does contain some answers to your questions.
Yes, I already did that. But I don't get any answer to specific questions like the one above. I was hoping that the forum would state more practical tips and practical information from fellow landlords, because you can't compare it to someone who is truly self-employed, and when I ask a question via support, I am referred to a video. I also sent an email to an accountant I found here on the site, but I haven't received an answer to my email from the accountant either. However, the course literally states that your vAT number must be on the invoice before you can recover vAT. That is a basic requirement for recovering vAT, see the chapter "An invoice, a receipt, a cash register receipt ...? What exactly do I need?"
So you will have to have your vAT number put on the document, and then the subscription will have to be transferred to the person with the vAT number.
And your question about daily receipts is also literally stated. See the chapter on "daily receipts".

Are you renting to a private person and that private person does not question a sales invoice?
Then you do not necessarily have to create a sales invoice. You can be perfectly legally okay by simply doing a daily receipt for your own records and VAT accounting purposes.Take a market trader, for example: it would be administratively impossible for them to create a sales invoice for every sale.
Fortunately, they can also keep track of their daily sales via daily receipts. This is much simpler on an administrative level, as he can simply note down what he has sold on a daily basis, without having to give each customer a sales invoice.

Hi SS, here are the answers to your questions:
I still have to get started and I'm a bit scared to do my own bookkeeping and to do something wrong or forget something. They also note that you can, for example, charge a certain percentage of distribution costs for Wi-Fi, electricity and mobile phone subscriptions from home. But how do you do that in practice? For each expense in Dexxter, you can note down the business percentage. If the utility costs are purely for the holiday home, you can enter 100%. Is the bill also linked to your private home? Then you have to decide for yourself how much is business and how much is private. This could be half, for example, and you would enter 50% for the expense. It's very easy!
These subscriptions are in my husband's name and the vAT number is in my name. Do I need to change these subscriptions? Do these invoices from home also need to include a vAT number?
=> If you want to recover the VAT, your company number must be on the invoice. So yes, it's better to do so.
And do you then enter daily receipts or sales invoices? Because it's always private individuals who rent from us.
You can choose whether to create an invoice or use daily receipts for each income. You can certainly create a sales invoice for a private individual, but it is probably easier to just use daily receipts.
Kind regards,
Louise

You really should try it out for yourself. Even if you don’t have a company number yet, you can already go ahead.
