Historical investment

(I think...) You just need to enter your historical investment in the current financial year. It doesn't matter because you only need to enter the start of the deduction and the invoice date. I entered the expense as a 'historical investment' with a start date of 01/01/2020 and the invoice date as stated on the invoice (also sometime in 2020). We are now in the third year of depreciation, which will continue into 2023 and end in 2024.

In concrete terms, you open the 'depreciations' window under the 'expenses' heading and click on the blue 'New historical depreciation' button.

In the input window, I enter:

• Type: 'computer'</

  Total amount excl. VAT: '€826.45' (assuming the computer cost €1000 for purchases, incl. VAT)

• Number of years: '5'</

  Start date depreciation: '01-01-2020' (or the effective date of commissioning, but i don't know that for renovations carried out 8 years ago and depreciable over 10 years)

• Depreciation invoice date: '01/04/2020'</

  Description: 'Warehouse PC'
