I am considering switching from a secondary occupation to a main occupation as a psychotherapist. I am questioning what will change and what additional costs I will have to take into account.

There are many tax changes when you switch to full-time employment, such as taxes and the associated brackets, and your social security contributions will also increase. I would advise you to inform yourself in a good way before making such a decision.
