Depreciation not pro rata

ES
10/12/2021
Question

How do I ensure that depreciation is not pro rata based on the purchase date? For example, a purchase I make on 1 December only counts for 31 days in the calculation of depreciation in Dexter, but as a self-employed person (natural person), it does not matter when you make the purchase and you can count it for the full 365 days of that year. How do I ensure that this is applied in Dexter?

We do not have that functionality yet. In other words, it is (for the time being) always pro rata on a daily basis. It is on our roadmap to add this after the turn of the year. This way, we can be sure that you can still use it for your 2021 personal income tax return, which you will submit in 2022. If you then go back and adjust your depreciation period, it will still be good in your personal income tax return.Dear, so wait for the adjustment? I have also made similar investments to incur costs, but on a pro rata basis it is difficult for me to reach my exemption limit to avoid paying social security contributions. :-) Is it permissible to set your invoice date to 1 January 2021, given that as a sole proprietor you can do your purchases at any time and claim a full calendar year? Or would the tax authorities not appreciate that? The change is coming. Development is complete, testing is underway. So if you can wait a little longer, you can solve it that way :)

If you are subject to VAT (and therefore have to submit a quarterly vAT declaration), this method is a little more difficult. You want to put it in the correct vAT declaration.
